The property was named after two former owners of the estate, Malescot and St. Exupery, grandfather of the famous aviator and writer, Château Malescot-Saint-Exupery is adjacent to a part of the vineyards of Chateau Margaux.
After relatively disappointing wines produced in the period from 1960 to 1980, the current owners focuses their efforts on quality. Since the early 1990s, the wines, with aromas of red fruits, are richer, more intense and with a steady quality.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc

To drink between 2015 and 2018
Malolactic fermentation occurs in vat or in barrel
The wine is bottled without fining or filtration
“Elegant notes of Chinese black tea, black currants, licorice, and flowers emerge from this excellent, medium-bodied, supple-textured Margaux. As the wine sat in the glass, a bit of raspy tannins started to push through, which lowered my score a point or two. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Drink 2010-2018” (R.Parker)
Wine Spectator: 90
Robert Parker: 89
Braised partridge, seared breast of duck, roast leg of lamb
